Shaneikqua Smith, affectionately known as ‘Lady Neek’, gracefully houses a strong anointing with a quality in sound that is full of depth, richness, and conviction. Gifted with musically anointed parents, she had an early start in music ministry at the tender age of 3. Shaneikqua, a North Carolina native, now continues her musical and ministerial journey as a devoted mother to her two beautiful daughters Harmony & Lariya.
Recognized for her strong, unique and captivating vocals, Neek has contributed to the sounds of gospel artists such as Melvin Crispell III, John P. Kee, The Life Center Fellowship Choir, Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling and many others as a background vocalist on various records and live performances. A cherished member of Patrick Riddick & D’Vyne Worship, Christopher Ervin & Abraham’s Descendant’s and presently, Ricky Dillard & New Generation, Neek has accepted the awesome journey of beginning a career as a solo artist.
Along with recording her debut live album in May of 2023, Neek has had the honor of leading on two of Ricky Dillard & New Generation’s singles, “He Won’t Fail” and “Pray Through”. In June of 2023, Neek received her ministerial license under the guidance of Bishop Brian D. Moore, the presiding prelate of The Life Center Fellowship of Interdependent Churches. She currently serves as an assistant director and worship leader within the music department of The Life Center Charlotte, where Bishop Brian D. Moore serves as lead Pastor.
Shaneikqua knows and believes the calling on her life to serve the local, national, and international church and the kingdom of God. Her unwavering commitment to ministering to God’s people is a reflection of the Bible’s instruction to love and support one another. Neek’s most sincere prayer is that with every note she sings and any word she speaks, she inspires, encourages and touches the hearts of those who hear it.
